Skywhale Spectacle by Linh
Artist Patricia Piccinini has created a gigantic hot air
balloon titled Skywhale to celebrate Canberra’s Centenary in 2013. For one day
only, Adelaideans can marvel at Piccinini’s Skywhale, which will be hovering
over Adelaide’s Botanic Gardens for the opening of the 2014 Adelaide Biennial. It is a free event for everyone and includes
an artist public talk session featuring Patricia Piccinini and a free sketching workshop where all the materials are
supplied free of charge.
